Die Pixar Filme sind nicht nur für ihre sehr guten Filme bekannt, sondern auch dafür, dass sie eine sehr schöne und alte Tradition pflegen, die Vorfilme. Denn viele dieser Vorfilme aus den Pixar Filmen, haben Kultstatus erreicht und es verwundert nun auch ein wenig, dass Disney hier wohl zum ersten mal einen solchen Vorfilm ebenso im Netz verfügbar macht.

Dieser Film heißt im Original einfach nur "Paperman" und in der, wie so oft umständlichen, deutschen Übersetzung dann "Im Flug erobert", was es diesmal aber auch trifft Dieser Kurzfilm wurde immerhin schon nominiert für für den Oscar als Bester animierter Kurzfilm und gewann schon den Annie Award for Best Animated Short Subject. Er vermengt traditionelle Zeichentrickkunst mit Computeranimation, wurde bis auf ein winziges, aber umso wesentlicheres Detail, komplett in Grautönen, also Schwarz-Weis und alles dazwischen, gehalten.
