Unexploded: Rock Elektro Band aus Dänemark
Die Rock/Elektro-Band Unexploded aus Dänemark haben ihre neue CD am Start und daher gibt es hier ein wenig Promo um die Augen. Anhören kann man sich ihre Songs auf MySpace.
The concert Wednesday April 2nd 2008 was interrupted by teargas from
the police due to riots and huge flames in the streets. The concert took
place at the cool venue Loppen, situated at the outskirts of Christiania,
Copenhagen.
Not knowing what was happening right outside the window of the venue
the band played through most of the primary set. In the middle of one of
the last songs a man runs through the concert hall shouting “STOP, STOP,
STOP! The police is using teargas right outside!” The bands sound
engineer turned off the sound from the PA, leaving the band on stage a
bit stunned (since they didn’t hear what the guy was shouting)… The guy
shouting was the person responsible for security at the venue. The band
was told that concert was off
In between gas attacks the band packed down their gear and left it for
the following day. They couldn’t take the gear with them as no
transportation service would come near Christiania with the streets on
fire, fighting in the streets and the police using teargas constantly.

As long as fighting continued and police kept using teargas, the band
and audience had to stay inside and wait it out. Time was spent drinking
a lot of beers and enduring a lot of teargas… At 3am in the morning the
band finally could make a run for it. The gear was picked up the
following day by the band.
Something different for a change! Very European, very eerie and very, very good. It takes a lot
to impress me at the moment, and Unexploded have done just that. If there’s any justice in the

Unexploded is the creative discharge of songwriter, lead singer and producer Spine. His
innovative and progressive rock sound combines elements of electro to give the music
a very characteristic and intense sound. Energy and atmosphere make out the
platform for Spine’s uncompromising and experimental style of daring and compelling
space rock.
Unexploded is often compared to Pink Floyd, Massive Attack and The Cure, and Spine’s
vocal is often compared to that of Neil Tennant and David Bowie.
Songs of the band has found its way to shelves on several Danish and foreign
compilations and soundtracks, and live the shows vary in intensity throughout to
explode in peaks. An excellent backing band assists Spine to create the huge sound
and unfold the fascinating universe of Unexploded.
Having performed at Roskilde Festival, Unexploded is currently recording and mixing the
debut album, to be released in 2009.
Unexploded is a state of tension; a state still capable of exploding – exploding of joy,
frustration, expectation, ammunition, sexual tension and euphoria.
